Meet Maegan O'Connor

Paralegal

Maegan's legal career began after spending 15 years as a professional chef, where she developed discipline, precision, and a strong attention to detail. Driven by her passion for the law and client service, she earned her Paralegal diploma from La Cité in 2020. She was licensed as a paralegal in January 2021 and was also appointed as a Notary Public for the Province of Ontario.


Practicing primarily in the Ottawa and Rockland regions, Maegan focuses her practice on matters before the Landlord and Tenant Board, as well as notarial and commissioning services. She also works closely with lawyers on estate planning, estate litigation, and Superior Court of Justice matters, bringing extensive experience and a steadfast commitment to every file. With more than 6,000 hours of hearing experience before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Maegan combines substantial practical expertise with a client-focused approach to delivering exceptional legal services.


Fluent in both English and French, Maegan is well equipped to serve a diverse clientele by providing clear, practical, and tailored legal guidance. Her professional approach combines empathy with pragmatic, results-oriented solutions, helping clients navigate legal challenges with confidence. Recognized for her ability to build genuine relationships, she is committed to ensuring that every client feels supported, informed, and understood throughout the legal process. Maegan is also an active member of the Paralegal Town Hall, where she contributes to the advancement and advocacy of the paralegal profession.


Outside of her professional practice, Maegan enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, cooking, and strength training. Her personal commitment to discipline, perseverance, and continuous growth reflects the same values she brings to her legal practice.
